I’ve started shooting the Proof of Concept Trailer for my newest screenplay, which I’ll just call Jones McCree.  This is a still of Jones.  I shot this on my D7000 and pulled the still from editing.  I’m editing in FinalCut.  I’ve also been using the Magic Bullet Looks plug-in, which is amazing!  The possibilities of “developing” the video are through the roof.  What I’ve found so far is that creating a look that supports the story is key!  Not just creating a look that looks cool.  And by asking questions: “why does it look like this” or “what does it mean if it’s that” causes greater specificity in storytelling which is always a good thing.
